Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Skyways collects when you visit skyways.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Skyways Air Transportation, Inc. ("Skyways," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit skyways.com (the "Site"), contact us, subscribe to updates, or otherwise interact with us online. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you submit a contact or demonstration-request form, subscribe to our newsletter, apply for a role, or reach out to our sales or press teams, we collect the details you choose to give us. That typically includes your name, work email, company, role or title, and the contents of your message or request.

Information we collect automatically

When you browse the Site, we and our service providers collect standard technical data: your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the dates and times of your visits. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries and send the updates or materials you request;
  • evaluate job applications and communicate with candidates;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • measure and analyze how the Site is used;
  • detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents, fraud, and misuse, and protect the rights and safety of Skyways and others;
  • and meet our legal, regulatory, aviation, and export-control obligations.

Job applicants

When you apply for a role, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, contact details, work history, and any materials you choose to share. We use it to evaluate your application, communicate with you about the role, and meet our recordkeeping, employment, and export-control obligations. Depending on where you live, the privacy rights described below may also apply to information we collect about applicants. You should not include classified, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), or export-controlled technical data in your application.

Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and understand how the Site is used. We use Google Analytics to measure Site traffic and performance. We also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which lets us measure the performance of our LinkedIn advertising, learn about the professional makeup of our audience, and show Skyways ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited the Site. Using these tools involves sharing limited information with Google and LinkedIn for analytics and advertising purposes.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect how the Site functions. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out add-on, and you can manage advertising and tracking preferences in your LinkedIn account settings.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to it, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. Where required by law, we treat recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of the sharing of personal information for the browser or device that sends them, as described in "How we share information" below.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that perform work on our behalf, under contracts that limit how they may use it. These include providers of website hosting and infrastructure, form and data storage, email delivery, content management, analytics, and advertising and measurement. We may also disclose information to comply with the law or a lawful request, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Skyways or others, or in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Because we work with U.S. government and defense customers, this includes disclosures we are legally required or compelled to make in response to a valid request from a government, regulatory, defense, national security, or law enforcement authority, such as a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of analytics and advertising technologies, such as Google Analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, may involve sharing online identifiers and activity with those providers in ways that some state privacy laws treat as a "sale" or as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of this sharing through the browser and account controls described in "Cookies and analytics" above, or by emailing info@skyways.com. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals for the browser or device that sends them.

Categories of personal information

For purposes of U.S. state privacy laws, the categories of personal information we collect through the Site are: identifiers (such as name, work email, and IP address); professional or employment information (such as company, role, work history, and the contents of your message); internet or network activity (such as the pages you view and how you interact with the Site); and inferences drawn from analytics and advertising data about the professional makeup of our audience. We collect this information from you directly, from your device and browser, and from the analytics and advertising providers described above. We share these categories only with the categories of service providers listed above and, where required, with legal or government authorities. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and you should not submit it through any form.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. How long that is depends on the nature of the information, the purpose for which we collected it, and any legal, contractual, aviation, or export-control obligation that requires us to keep it. For example, we generally retain contact and inquiry records for the period needed to follow up and maintain our business records, and applicant records for the period needed to evaluate candidates and meet employment and recordkeeping requirements. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless we are required to retain it.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the information we collect. These include encrypting traffic to the Site using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS), limiting access to personal information to people who need it, and working with reputable infrastructure and service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information; to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of your personal information; to limit certain processing; and to withdraw consent you previously gave. You can exercise these rights, or unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, by emailing info@skyways.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will act on a request only once we can reasonably verify who you are. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if they provide proof that you authorized them to act for you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity directly or confirm that you gave the agent permission. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response or by emailing us at the address above. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority or the attorney general in your jurisdiction.

International users

Skyways operates the Site from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognized under applicable law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or a valid adequacy framework. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and have a question about these transfers, you can contact us using the details in "Contact us" below.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for business and government users and is not directed to children under 13, or to anyone under 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age without opt-in consent, as required by law. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Performance specs and export control

Any aircraft performance figures shown on the Site are drawn from publicly available information. Detailed engineering data is not published and is shared only under appropriate U.S. export-control authorization.

The Site is a public marketing website. It does not collect, process, or store classified information or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Please do not submit classified, CUI, or export-controlled technical data through the Site or any form on it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. When we make material changes, we will revise that date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
